Visit by Para-Athlete John Willis
Pupils attended this morning's assembly given by John Willis, founder of Power2inspire, a company that encourages "inclusion through sport".
John was born without any hands or feet, but set himself a challenge to try all 34 Paralympic and Olympic sports. His "Road to Rio" challenge has raised about £9000 for his charity. Power2inspire aims to bring disabled and non-disabled children together playing sports. John also conveyed the message that practice makes perfect and Mrs Carlisle finished off the assembly by telling children to challenge themselves to overcome an obstacle and not to give up.
