Walking Wednesday

Walking Wednesday is a new, child led initiative, that the school council children have come up with. This is to encourage children to walk to school, in order to ease congestion around the drop off zone and to encourage more physical activity.

This will also make children's journey to school safer. If children live too far away to walk the whole distance, then they should park at least 5 minutes away from school and walk the remainder of the journey to qualify.

Children will receive a sticker in their reading record each time they walk to school on a Wednesday. If they walk to school every Wednesday for a half term, they will be invited to attend a 'Walking Wednesday' party in Peru class. If children walk to school every Wednesday for a whole term, their name will be put into a raffle to win a prize.
