Yr 5 Roman Day

Year 5 spent the day as Romans, learning all about Roman Life.

Year 5 spent the day as Romans, learning all about the Roman way of life. The made Mosaics as a way of learning how pavements were made. They became physicians, making cures from herbs, snake venom and gladiator blood. Papyrus grass was used for writing on, olive oil used in lamp making. Other activities involved making pottery figures and charms, metalwork brooches, Fresco painting and using herbs and spices for beauty products.

All the children and staff dressed as Romans and were all given Roman names that htey had to use all day.
