School Information

Welcome to our school

Our vision is for every child to develop 'energy for learning, life and the environment'.

Alderman Jacobs is a happy and safe school; proud to develop energy for learning, life and for the environment. We do this by giving all children opportunities, skills and knowledge to make good progress; develop a range of skills for learning and life; have a positive attitude to challenges, themselves and others; to ‘be green’ and care for their environment now and in the future; show respect and have compassion and for their immediate environment, their community and the wider world; have high aspirations for what they can achieve; develop sporting and fitness skills and know how to live a healthy, happy life. We believe our three key areas will ensure future success for every child.

The school has high academic and behaviour expectations and also excels in its work to provide an inclusive, caring environment for all children.  Alderman Jacobs also offers great opportunities for children to develop their potential and knowledge across the curriculum and beyond. There are a wonderful range of trips and visits, extracurricular clubs, tournaments and competitions, and we have our own full-sized outdoor swimming pool to ensure every child can swim with confidence before moving to secondary school.

Alderman Jacobs also has a thriving pre-school and offers wraparound care to working parents at the 'Straw Bears Club' operating before and after school.

We are a welcoming, safe, happy and inclusive school and are always proud to show visitors around.

Our website provides a snapshot of life in our school and key information for parents. Please remember you are always welcome to visit us or ask any questions you may have. We look forward to meeting you or hearing from you in the future.
