New Blog Post - Wednesday

Wednesday was a busy day and we definitely needed our sleep last night. We walked over 18,000 steps! We began the day at Jorvik and experienced a Viking village on their specially made ride. It stank! We also got to look at some Viking artefacts and had some talks about them. We headed down to the dig part of Jorvik and worked together to become archaeologists and discover relics from different time periods. After some time resting our legs, we had a guided tour of the Merchant Adventurers Hall and learnt about guilds and fair trade. We also picked out key features of the building and talked about what was special about them. We headed back for dinner and then split into our groups to tackle a mystery spy mission around Clifford Tower and the surrounding areas. We discovered Dick Turpin’s gravestone and used our previous knowledge from the week to solve the clues.
