A successful first day had by all. Lunch was hamburgers and chips, which the children where really excited about and enjoyed. The children where then shown around the site and made their own beds. Then the afternoon activities began. Group A went sailing and on the speed boat, where every child got a chance to steer the speed boat. Group B went climbing and where really helpful and supportive of their fellow school friends, encouraging them to go further than they had set their sights on. Group C did high ropes and the Jacobs ladder where here the children used their resilience, one of the key skills here at Grafham to carry on going and help each. Group D had a wet and muddy bike ride but all came back with smiling faces ready for dinner. Tonight’s evening activities are orienteering. Let’s hope they don’t get too muddy!
