  • Year 5 Hindu Temple Trip

    The Year 5 children have had the opportunity to visit the local Hindu Mandir in Peterborough this term. They got to experience how Hindu people worship and the importance of the 5 senses while doing so. They got to ask questions, sketch some of the Hindu Deities and enjoy and drink and a biscuit. We all had a lovely time

  • Sponsored Walk

    On Friday 7th October the children took part in the annual sponsored walk. The weather stayed fine and all the children pushed themselves and completed the following distances;

    Early Years and Year One - walked for 40 minutes and covered a distance of 2.5km 

    Year 2 - walked for 50 minutes and covered a distance of 3.28km

    Year 3 and 4 - walked for 50 minutes and covered a distance of 4km

    Year 5 and 6 - walked for 60 minutes and covered a distance of 4.5km

    The sponsorship money will go towards buying new equipment for the children to use at lunchtimes.

  • Year 3 - Investigating rocks

    Year 3 have been scientists this term, investigating rocks. Our big question for the topic was ‘Do rocks last forever?’  To help with answering the question we walked to the cemetery to see how some sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous rocks have weathered over time. We decided that rocks do not last forever but show signs of weathering. Some rocks, like granite, weather more slowly than others, like limestone. The children showed a great understanding of rocks and used their scientific thinking to deepen their understanding.
