Social development
Children investigate moral issues; appreciate that people have different points of view, participate, volunteer and cooperate, work together to resolve conflict and learn what a good citizen might choose to do.
Moral development
Children learn to recognise right and wrong, respect the law, understand that our actions have consequences which can be negative and investigate moral and ethical issues.
Spiritual development
Children learn about and develop a respect for different beliefs and cultures.
Cultural development
Children learn to appreciate cultural influences and differences.
Promoting 'British values'
Since November 2014, all schools have a responsibility to promote the 'fundamental British values' of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. We aim promote these values through our school curriculum and our whole school ethos.
